THE RIDER'S CLUB

The Rider's club has been a bit dormant for the last year or so. We have been trying to keep consistent with road rides though and will continue to do so through the winter. The goal is to move the road rides to Sundays from now on and possibly throw in a cross ride every once and awhile. So the idea is the you check online or contact the shop on Saturdays and we'll tell you what bike/tires to bring for Sunday. More details on this later.

The vision of the team is to be a self-supporting, self sufficient group of cycling enthusiasts.

There is no obligation to race once you join the team. You will be given a race license with your membership fees for group ride insurance purposes.

The club will internally support itself (i.e. road cyclists can help out at downhill events & vice versa.) If you are looking for further race sponsorship, bring a proposal and race resume to the shop.

Weekly group rides will be controlled by the club members. The team will have a training coordinator who will lead and organize group rides. As well, members will have the opportunity to lead group rides and design routes.

The club is a non profit. Membership fees will be $125.00. For your membership you will receive a team jersey, either a GRIMBA or Cycling BC license, and $25.00 will go into a general team fund which will be used for team equipment (tent, heaters…)
