Rider's Cycles

Cyclocross is a sport born from the mud of Belgium. The sport has a variety of different aspects to it from road, mountain and running. Generally Cyclocross races last from thirty minutes to one hour. In a Cyclocross race expect sections of gravel, mud or dirt, grass, sand and many sharp turns. Also, there will be sections were the racer has to dismount and carry their bike up a steep hill, up some stairs or over small obstacles. The Cyclocross bike looks very much like a road bike but, with knobby tires like a mountain bike and with cantilever brakes. These bikes also make excellent commuting bike because they can fit fenders easily and the frame geometry is very comfortable relative to road bikes. Cyclocross bikes are available in Aluminum or Carbon Fiber frames.
